Last week the Detroit Lions’ offense was slowed down to a virtual crawl by the Denver Broncos, in the friendly atmosphere of Ford Field. This week the assignment for Matthew Stafford and his teammates may be more daunting, as the Lions head up to the Pacific Northwest for a Monday night date with the Seattle Seahawks, with the kickoff scheduled for 8:30 PM ET at CenturyLink Field. Customers at BetAnySports can count on continued action even after the game begins, as they can test their skill against the NFL odds in real time through the facilities of Live Betting Extra.

The Seahawks lost their first two games on the road – first in overtime to the St. Louis Rams and then to the Green Bay Packers. In both of those contests they blew fourth-quarter leads. Last Sunday they took advantage of a Chicago Bears team that was without Jay Cutler and shut them out 26-0. That game marked the return of safety Kam Chancellor, who had missed the first two games in a contract holdout.

The Lions got off to a quick start out of the gate as they built a 21-3 lead over San Diego in the opener, but then they blew it, losing 33-28, and it has been downhiil from there. They didn’t perform well at all at Minnesota the next week, losing 26-16 to the Vikings, and they just couldn’t get the ball in the end zone in a 26-12 loss to the Broncos. In the first three games, Stafford has been intercepted five times.

The presence of Chancellor makes the secondary more physical – automatically. He can help in run support, or against receivers going across the middle. Well, the Lions would love to even HAVE a running game. We don’t mean to be unfair to rookie Ameer Abdullah, but he has to do a little more when he is carrying the football. And Joicque Bell has not been a playmaker when subbing in for him.

Stafford is not to be confused with Jimmy Clausen, who had to fill in for Cutler last week. And he has not one, but two wide receivers who can make a difference (Golden Tate, Calvin Johnson). But these guys did not run wild – in fact, far from it – against Denver’s defense. Seattle would appear to have all of that and more, including a very hostile venue that has been known to play havoc with snap counts, causing false starts and delays of game.

BetAnySports customers might be interested in knowing, however, that Seattle has, for the most part, been beating backup quarterbacks since the latter part of last year, at least in the regular season. Remember that down the stretch, they went against the likes of Drew and Stanton and Ryan Lindley (ugh!) of Arizona; Austin Davis of the Rams and Mark Sanchez of the Eagles.

Marshawn Lynch has caught that affliction that seems to be spreading around the NFL of late – a bad hamstring – and although it is not expected to keep him out of this game, he may be limited. He didn’t even start against the bears. And at 3.4 yards per carry, he is not getting out of the chute very quickly. Quarterback Russell Wilson, who has a 23-2 straight-up record at CenturyLink, is the Seahawks’ leading rusher at the moment (137 yards, 5.7 ypc).

BetAnySports is the place to be on Monday night, as they offer reduced juice wagering against the NFL odds, not to mention a lot of ways to win with Live Betting Extra!
