The Philadelphia Eagles are in a three-way tie for first place in the NFC East, but on Sunday night their competition is going to be a lot tougher than the Washington Redskins or New York Giants. The Arizona Cardinals have won seven games in a row, and they are looking like the only NFC team that could possibly give the Carolina Panthers a run for their money. These teams get together at 8:30 PM ET at Lincoln Financial Field in the City of Brotherly Love, and BetAnySports customers will get a chance to place their wagers and challenge the football betting odds in real time as they use the software available through Live Betting Extra.

The Eagles have won their last couple of games to inject themselves firmly into the picture. This comes as there has been heat on coach Chip Kelly, who has been openly mentioned as a candidate for several college football jobs. Kelly has been hoping for something better out of quarterback Sam Bradford, and that has happened, to an extent. And the club has taken advantage of breaks that have been presented by opponents. They triumphed on special teams and defense against the New England Patriots two weeks ago, as they returned a punt and blocked a punt for a TD, not to mention scoring on a pick-six. Last week they spoiled Shady McCoy’s “revenge” game against Kelly as they beat Buffalo.

Arizona has been formidable lately, but that does not mean they have not made it just a little dramatic. The Cardinals have managed to blow double-digit leads in four of their last five games, but at the same time they have turned back some credible opposition, like Seattle, Cincinnati and Minnesota. So they are right about where coach Bruce Arians wants them to be. This team has been brilliant offensively, ranking first in the league in both points and yards per drive, and of course this is all in support of the MVP candidacy of quarterback Carson Palmer, who has thrown for 31 touchdowns and topped the 4000-yard mark last time out in the 23-20 win over Minnesota. Andre Ellington, who has averaged 6.9 yards per carry, is a game-time decision here, but one thing Arizona possesses is depth in the backfield, with the likes of Chris Johnson (814 yards in a nice comeback season) and rookie David Johnson. And there is the distinct possibility that BetAnySports patrons will see Larry Fitzgerald, who has also come back strong, move over 100 receptions in this game.

Bradford was 23 of 38 for 247 yards against Buffalo, and Kelly has said that he would like to re-sign the quarterback for next season, amid speculation that people like Colin Kaepernick or Robert Griffin III might be better fits for the read option and spread that the Eagles like to employ. Of course, there is the fear on the part of Eagle backers that their defense, which collapsed in that recent stretch against Tampa Bay, Detroit and even New England (giving up 118 points over those three) will fold against the explosive Cards. Arizona has converted 46% of its third down opportunities, and it will be crucial for the Philly pass rush (31 sacks), which features the talents of defensive end Fletcher Cox, to put some pressure on Palmer, who has been sacked only 21 times.
